Notes & caveats
All 12 modules are 5 credits each, so the year average is unambiguous — the simple mean equals the credit-weighted mean.
The compensation clause is written for the two-failed-modules case; treating a single failed module (≥45%) as also compensatable is our reading — the source document is flagged as ambiguous on this point.
The Marks & Standards do not state whether the honours bands apply per module or to the year; this calculator applies them to the year average (marks rounded to the nearest integer, as the document specifies).
Supplemental (repeat sitting) marks are capped at 50% and continuous assessment is not carried forward to supplementals — 'what you need' figures here refer to the FIRST sitting.
Individual module descriptors may add component requirements not captured here; COMMPROF semester-independence and BIOMED section rules are recorded as notes, not computed from components.
Students who fail FY Physiotherapy ARE eligible to repeat the year (the 4-year BSc must be completed within 5 years in total).
BIOMED lab practical/report attendance is compulsory — missing it makes a student ineligible for the BIOMED MCQ (an eligibility gate, not a mark).
